Princess Dance Week 2011

I had the pleasure of teaching Princess Dance Week in our Randolph studio from 9 to 11:30 every day last week. With 8 kids, all very quiet for the first hour of day 1, I wondered how I would get through such time. I had the whole week’s activities planned out but at 10am on day 1, I threw away my plans, put the girls in a circle, and asked them what they liked and wanted to learn. From that moment on time flew by with a studio full of joy, smiles and laughter. Continue reading

The Dance Workshop Family

…the best part for me is the camaraderie between the students, the parents, the instructors and the two studios. Our former students come back to teach, dance, bring their children or just come in to hang out. All of our instructors come from within the studio, and most grew up there. Continue reading

I LOVE TEACHING DANCE!

A bright-eyed 7 year old girl who I’ve been teaching since she was 3 years old ran into the studio. She jumped into my arms and hugged me tight, and in an instant I was reminded about why I LOVE TEACHING DANCE!
